Freedom and Happiness part 1

What is true happiness? Is it the feeling you get when you buy something, the feeling when you go a surgery done and your breasts are two sizes bigger now or your nose finally straight, the feeling when you take a hot bath on a cold winter day, the feeling you get when you the new album of your favourite band comes out, the feeling when you just had amazing sex, the feeling when you earn 1,000,000 $ in one go?
I could give a million examples and I believe you might be able to give me even more. And you might answer this question with a smile and a simple “Yes!”
… and you may say that you are the happiest in those moments. But I got to disappoint you: it’s not happiness that you feel. It’s joy – pure joy.

Joy is what you receive from the world around you. Happiness is something deeper, something from inside.

We spend whole lifetimes searching for happiness around us. We want to earn a lot, we want to be appreciated in what we do, want to be loved. And we keep searching and searching and will never find it because we are searching for it at the wrong place: You have to start searching inside you.
Positive energy is what we need to be happy and we have it inside us. It’s just waiting to be revealed. Now, how do we reveal positive energy?
Through love, unconditional love. You have to start loving yourself and the world around you, love every feeling, believe in the good in people and love them for that. Negative feelings like jealousy, envy or hatred will just take away your energy, so don’t waste it on them. I give you an example for unconditional love: a family. A child is born and doesn’t know anything about his parents, whether they have been good or bad people, but he will love them. And when he grows older he might to mistakes in his life, which might hurt his parents, but they will still love him.
To reach the point where you are only filled with love and therefore happiness, it might take a long way, but don’t give up. There are things in the world which might help you, like mediation, yoga, or even a simple walk through nature.
Once you have found real happiness, you may cry and be upset or angry – you will still be happy inside.
So we don’t need joy in our lives? I believe we do, because we live for joy as well.
It’s never wrong to have pleasure in life that doesn’t harm anyone – but you should know that it is not the way to find happiness.

Love and Light.
You'll be happy if you just try. And if you are not happy right now and you dont believe me, still try because you dont have anything to lose!
